Eagles stars launch Sunshine Run

BASKETBALL legends from Newcastle Eagles are urging people to run for charity.

Andrew Bridge and Fab Flournoy helped launch this year’s Sunshine Run on the Gateshead Millennium Bridge , to raise thousands for the Chronicle’s Sunshine Fund.
Fun-runners, athletes and teams from companies across the region will be taking part and running, jogging or walking the 5km route.
Hundreds are expected to turn out for the popular riverside run. This year’s event is supported by ITPS, a Gateshead-based IT company, and will take place at 7pm on July 2.
Garry Sheriff, ITPS’s managing director, said: “It is hugely rewarding and takes such little effort for us to support.”
