Radio presenters to take part in charity quiz
Radio presenters will be putting their brains to the test to help raise money for the Sunshine Fund. Metro Radio presenters Brian Moore and Marky Mark will be joining a quiz night with a difference, all about the North East.
Anyone can enter a team, whether it is a team of workmates, friends, or family, to battle it out to be crowned our charity quiz challenge champions. Costing £200 for a team of 10, the night includes drinks vouchers, a meal and team entry into the quiz. Later on there will be a disco and a chance to bet on some horses races. There is a chance to win big cash prizes for first, second and third places.
Sunshine Fund manager Jo Harris said: “The Charity Quiz Challenge event will be a great night out and a great fundraiser for both the Sunshine Fund and Just for Kids. We are really looking forward to this year’s event and are already getting excited about it. “There are plenty of tables available at the minute but probably not for long, so I would urge anyone interested to come forward quickly. “Not only will it be an enjoyable evening for all the guests, but it will help to raise much-needed funds for sick and disabled children. “I would like to thank Brian Moore and Marky Mark in advance for joining us on the night.”
The two charities benefiting from the evening will both use money raised to help children in the North East.
The Sunshine Fund provides equipment that makes a significant improvement to lives of disabled and seriously ill children in the North East, for which funding is not easily available from other sources.
The fund is able to provide grants through the fundraising efforts of Chronicle readers and the loyal support of many local businesses. Just for Kids helps children in the North East who are suffering from abuse or neglect, are disabled, have special needs or who simply require extra care or guidance.
The quiz will be held at Rainton Meadows Arena, Houghton-le-Spring, at 7pm on Friday, March 28.
