Sports quiz is a winner
30 October 2007
Celebrities team up for charity
The event has become a fixture in the North East’s corporate calendar and requests for tables have started already. As well as an entertaining night, the fixture is set to raise thousands of pounds of much needed funds for sick and disabled children across the region.
Sunshine Fund manager Jo Harris said: “We are really looking forward to this year’s event and are already getting excited about it. “There are a few tables still available but I am sure there won’t be for long so I would urge anyone interested to come forward quickly. “Not only will it be an enjoyable evening for all the guests but it will be helping to raise much needed funds for sick and disabled children. “We have no doubt it’s going to be extremely popular. It’s become one of our big annual events. “We’re aiming to make it our biggest and best yet. There will be a very special raffle and auction prizes.”
The evening commences with a sparkling wine reception and the Question of Sport theme stretches throughout the evening.
In addition there will be some very special raffle and auction prizes up for grabs – all with sporting themes.
Jo said: “It’s set to be everything we’ve offered on previous years and more. “As always the highlight will be a celebrity guest on every table to help with the big quiz.” A table of 10 costs £900, including a space for the celebrity sporting guest.
The Sunshine Fund is the Chronicle’s very own charity, dating back to a 1928 Tyneside visit by King George V.
